Characteristics
Overview
A clipping of a Yellow Berry Plant.
Split one good plant across two beds that ripen at different times. Clones of the same parent planted together grow side by side and ripen together, so a single bed gives a pile of yellow berries one day and nothing for a long while after. That gap is when the brewer and the paintball crowd start fighting over the last stack.
- Cut clones from your best yellow berry plant. One cut gives several, and the parent is used up.
- Plant half of them in a large planter box right away and keep the rest in a box.
- Partway through the first bed's growth, plant the rest in a second planter.
- Each time a bed is harvested, refill it with clones cut from one plant of the other bed.
From then on one bed is always partway grown while the other is close to ripe, and the Mixing Table gets yellow berries in smaller, steadier batches.
Keep a few yellow berry seeds aside as well. If both beds are lost in a raid, they restart the line, though you will be hunting for a good parent again.
