Overview
A speargun which can only be fired underwater. Excellent for hunting Sharks.
Out of the water this thing is dead weight: it simply will not fire. Below the surface it is the gun for killing sharks while you farm sunken loot, and many players also use it to finish a diver they already hit who is trying to swim away.
It shoots one speargun spear at a time with a slow reload, so line up every shot. Spears travel slowly in water, which means you lead a moving shark rather than aim at where it is now.
Crafting is easy at a Level 1 workbench. The only awkward part is the empty propane tank, which turns up in barrels and sunken chests. Research is cheap, so learn it before you start diving seriously.
Tip
Take it out together with a wetsuit and a diving tank. If the air runs out mid-fight with a shark, the gun will not save you.
