Characteristics
Overview
Cooked Fish. Eating it provides a small boost to health, hunger, and thirst.
Steady food for a base that sits on water. The game promises only a small boost to health, hunger and thirst, so no single piece fills you up, but it moves all three bars and you never have to chase an animal through the woods to get it.
The chain is short. Any fish you land gets gutted with a knife into raw fish, the raw fish goes into a camp fire with some wood, and out comes this. Twenty stack in one slot, which makes it easy to carry a day's worth on a farm run.
Picture a duo in a shack on a river. Two survival fish traps sit in the shallows by the door, and whoever comes back from farming empties them, guts the catch and throws it on the fire. Nobody on that team goes hungry, even on days when the deer stay away and the bow sits on the wall.
Watch out
Fish does not wait for you forever. A stack forgotten in a wooden box can turn into spoiled fish meat, which hurts instead of feeding you. Keep the surplus in a fridge.
