Characteristics
Overview
A small bony fish commonly found in large schools.
Count it as a bonus, nothing more. You cast a handmade fishing rod off a pier hoping for a trout, and an anchovy comes up instead. It will not feed you for long, but it is not nothing either.
The useful move is to gut it with a knife. What comes out is a little raw fish, and that goes on the campfire until it turns into cooked fish. Expect a small portion, since the fish itself is small.
A survival fish trap by the shore may hand you one as well. Some players keep the small fry as bait for the next cast instead of gutting it, which is worth a try when your worms run out halfway through a long session on the rocks. Beyond that there is nothing to plan around: no recipe asks for it, and the recycler has nothing to say about it either.
