Overview

In-game description
Diving Fins. Significantly boosts your speed underwater but greatly reduces mobility on land.

Kick off from the shore without them and the sunken crate you spotted from the boat feels twice as far away. The game text promises a big boost to swim speed under water, and that is the only reason to wear these: less time going down means more air left for looting.

The price comes on land. The same text says they badly slow you on foot, and a beach is a bad place to be slow. Picture climbing out at a coastal monument with full pockets, still in fins, while someone on the cliff above already has you in his sights. That walk to cover is the longest of your life.

Watch out

Fins go on your feet, so your boots come off when you put them on. Keep the boots in your inventory and swap back the second you leave the water.

They cost a hundred metal fragments and the row lists no workbench, so any fresh spawn can make a pair. Wear them with a diving mask and a diving tank, and on a cold night add a wetsuit too.

Recycling

Recycler

At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
