Overview

In-game description
A clipping of a Red Berry Plant.

Use it to move your best red berry plant into the next bed with its genes intact. That is the whole cargo, though. Light, water and the state of the soil belong to the bed, and a cutting leaves all of them behind.

Here is a common letdown. Your group finds a strong plant in the roof planter, takes a stack of clones and fills a large planter box in a storage room downstairs, where no passing raider will see it. A round later the copies are small and slow. Same genes, wrong room. A plant without daylight or a lamp grows poorly, and a box nobody waters dries out, however good its parent looked.

So set up the clone bed before you cut. Put it where light reaches, run water to it and work in fertilizer from your composter; its own text says it raises ground condition, and a clone cannot bring that along. Then the copies have a fair chance to match the plant they came from.

That parent first grew from a red berry seed, and what all of them give is plain red berries for the tea table.
