Overview
Raw chicken breast. Eating it will damage your health, try cooking it first.
Log in, walk out to the chicken coop, and find it quiet. A roamer with a bow went along the low wall in the night and picked your hens off one by one. Bad morning, but not a total loss: the bodies are still lying there, and each one gives a little raw chicken breast.
Take it. Eaten raw it hurts you, so put it on a fire and turn it into cooked chicken. One bird is a small meal, a few of them get you through to the evening. Do not leave the meat in a box while you rebuild, either. Spoiled chicken damages your health too.
Then look for eggs. Whatever the hens laid before the raid restarts the flock, because an egg left in the coop hatches into a new hen.
The same rule holds for a coop that is doing fine. Wild chickens by the road are your meat, hens are your egg layers, and killing them for breasts throws the farm away. If a group with crops wants a chicken pie for its better-genes buff, wild birds cover that too.
