About this craft

Sulfur gets spent twice in this recipe. Most of it reaches the bench as gun powder, but every explosive also takes a little raw sulfur on top, and that is the part groups forget. The furnaces run all night, powder gets queued until the box is empty, and then everyone stands at the Level 3 workbench with nothing to finish the job.

Watch out

Before anyone starts a powder queue, set a stack of raw sulfur aside for the explosives. Getting sulfur back out of gun powder means the recycler and heavy losses.

The blueprint does nothing on its own. It is the key to C4 and rockets, so it is the first thing a group learns once the Level 3 bench stands, before either of them.

Then batch. Low grade fuel comes out in portions that only divide cleanly when you craft explosives in fours. A C4's worth splits evenly; a single rocket's worth leaves fuel lying in the box.
