Car Radio

Long drives between monuments get quiet, and this fixes exactly that, nothing more. The radio goes into a modular car, and the game text is plain about its limit: it only works while the car is turned on. Kill the engine and the music stops.

It costs 120 metal fragments at a Level 1 bench, and every player can craft it from the start. Fit it to a car built around a standard cockpit or a cockpit with engine; as far as players know, it tunes internet stations. It does nothing for speed, fuel or armour. It is pure comfort, so craft it only once a car is a regular part of how your group plays the wipe.

Think about who hears you. A car playing music on a road full of roamers stands out from a long way off. If you want sound away from the car, carry a portable boom box instead.
