Overview

In-game description
Wheat seeds, found when eating wheat or harvesting wild crops. Plant in the ground or a planter to grow more. Seeds grown in good conditions will have higher yields and grow faster.

Keep a few bundles of wheat somewhere safe and you always have seeds. The seed's own text names two sources: harvesting wild crops and eating wheat. The second is the useful one, because it works anywhere, even in a stripped base.

Picture the morning after an offline raid. The planters are smashed or emptied, the seed box is gone, and so are the clones you kept. In the stash you buried outside there are still five bundles of wheat. Eat them one by one, and with some luck seeds drop out, no trip to a wild field needed.

Then give them good soil. The text promises higher yields and faster growth in good conditions, and soil is the part you can fix quickly: put down a small planter box, add fertilizer from the composter you rebuild beside it, and keep the water coming. Plain ground grows wheat too, just less of it.

The first round from those seeds is a mixed bag. Once a plant stands out, cut clones from it, and stash a couple of bundles again before the next raid finds you.
