Characteristics
Overview
These green berry seeds can be planted in the ground and grown to collect additional food. Planting these seeds in a planter, and then watering them with large quantities of water yields significantly more Corn and faster groth.
Nobody crafts these. They come off wild green berry bushes as you pick them, usually only a few at a time, so the first evening you find a green bush is the evening your farm can start.
Read the seed's own text and you will see it promises more "Corn" from a watered planter. That line looks copied from the corn seed; what you harvest is green berries. The advice in it still holds: lots of water, a box instead of a field.
- Craft a small planter box. It needs no workbench, only a tarp and some wood.
- Set it where it gets light and bring water to it, from a water catcher or by hand.
- Plant the seeds and let the bed grow out.
- Inspect each plant, then take clones from the one with the best genes.
After that first round, keep a few seeds in a box as a backup and let the clones carry the farm. Everything it grows ends up as green berries for the Mixing Table.
