Characteristics
Overview
These black berry seeds can be planted in the ground and grown to collect additional food. Planting these seeds in a planter, and then watering them with large quantities of water yields significantly more berries and faster growth.
Plant them when you want black berries without walking the map for bushes. Most players get their first few while picking wild berry bushes, and a harvested plant often hands back more.
The seed's own description sets the rule: seeds in the ground grow, but seeds in a planter with plenty of water grow faster and give a lot more. So skip the field. A small planter box takes three, a large planter box nine, and both do best in light with water running in.
Seeds from a wild bush come with random genes, though. Your first bed will come up uneven, some plants strong, some weak. Pick the best one and switch to clones of it for the next round; keep a handful of seeds only to restart if the farm gets wiped out.
Everything after that leads to the black berry itself, the part that goes into teas.
