Characteristics
Overview
Delightful fish pie. Provides a boost to hunger, health and hydration. Increases base comfort level for a short time.
Its use is comfort on the go, when there is no chair or fire around to give it to you. Comfort is what helps your health come back on its own, and normally you only get it at home, near a campfire or in a chair. The game text says this pie raises your base comfort level for a short time, so for a while you carry a bit of that with you.
The fish costs almost nothing. An evening with a handmade fishing rod fills a box with catch, a knife turns it into raw fish, and the Cooking Workbench turns that into pies. Fishing groups end up with more than they can eat.
Here is where it actually helps. You come back from a fight half dead to a fresh base with bare floors, and the meds are gone. A fish pie tops up hunger, health and water, and the comfort keeps the rest creeping back while you sort loot.
Do not expect fight food from it, though. If your base already has a comfort workbench upgrade or a fire in the main room, the short pie adds little. For long trips the rich fish pie is the better buy: it is enriched with cream, and its text says the comfort lasts a long time.
