Overview
Burned horse meat. Eating it will damage your health.
Horses tend to die close to bases. A roamer shoots one outside your walls, or your own gets caught in a fight at the door, and suddenly there is a pile of raw horse meat on your doorstep. The usual mistake is to stuff all of it into one camp fire and go back to building.
- Cook a few pieces at a time and take each batch out once it is done.
- Keep the rest in your pockets until the fire is free again.
- Drop whatever burns anyway into the composter by the horse pen.
The game text says eating burnt horse meat damages your health, so it is no snack. Nothing crafts with it and recycling ignores it. Between this and cooked horse meat stand only a few trips back to the fire.
