Overview
A Hammer made from a bunch of other crap.
Despite the name, nothing here touches your walls. It won't upgrade or repair a block; for that you still need the wooden hammer. What you get is a lump of scrap on a handle that you swing at people, and now and then at a barrel on the road.
Pros
Cons
- 500 durability, against 350 for the salvaged sword and 200 for the mace
- Only fifty metal fragments besides the pipe
- Every swing lands heavy
- Needs a metal pipe, which you can only craft at a Level 3 bench, so early on it has to come from loot
- Slow swings lose trades against quicker blades
- Research costs 30 scrap, three times the hammer's
So when does it make sense? You come back from a road run with a spare pipe, a Level 1 bench is already up, and you want a melee you won't have to replace for a long time. Otherwise the sword does the same job without tying up a pipe that could go into a double barrel.
