Characteristics
Overview
A bucket for transporting water or other liquids.
Farming is where the bucket earns its slot. Seeds in a large planter box want water, and early in the wipe, before pipes and pumps, somebody walks to the river and back with this thing.
Dip it in a river and you carry water; dip it in the sea and you carry salt water instead. Empty it straight into the planter, or tip it into a barrel to keep for later.
Watch out
Never water crops from the sea. Salt water hurts plants rather than helping them, and a whole planter can wilt before you notice. If the coast is all you have, run it through a water purifier first.
The bucket is a stopgap. A water jug holds up to 5000 ml by its own description, and once a farm grows past a couple of planters most groups move to a barrel, a pump and sprinklers. Until then, twenty frags for a bucket is the cheapest way to keep a garden alive.
