Overview
A Small group of edible fish.
One item, several fish. The game text calls it a small group of them, and still the whole group barely counts as a meal. What you do with it is a choice between a scrap of food now and a chance at a better catch later.
Most minnows turn up when you check a survival fish trap. You come back from a farm run to the shack on the river, open the trap hoping for a small trout, and find minnows instead. Gutting them with a knife gives only a little raw fish. Fine if you are hungry right then, not worth a trip to the fire on its own.
Tip
Try them as bait before you gut them. If you are out of grubs and worms, putting the minnows back into the trap or on the hook keeps you fishing, and a trout is a much bigger meal.
No recipe takes them, and the recycler has nothing to give back for them. Ten fit in a slot, so a few unlucky trap checks will not crowd your inventory.
