A hundred painted eggs went into this one. Ten painted eggs make a bronze egg, ten bronze make a silver, so if you hold one, either the hunt went well or your team was generous.
Its text puts the loot at medium level, a step above the bronze surprise. The other road is ten silver for one gold egg, which means a thousand painted eggs in total, and few players gather that many in one hunt. For most people the silver egg is where the climbing stops and the opening starts.
Tip
Carry it home before you crack it. After a hunt the field is full of players with an egg basket still in hand and others hunting them, and loot is safer in a box than on your body.
