Cooked Crocodile Meat

Meat from the jungle's riverbanks, paid for with a crocodile fight. Cooked, it heals a little; the better use is the pie that helps you farm at night.

Overview

In-game description
Delicious Crocodile Meat, Eating it will restore some health, hunger, and thirst.

Jungle rivers and swamps are where this comes from, and the crocodile decides when the fight starts. You walk along a muddy bank looking for a crossing, something moves in the water, and suddenly you are shooting at a reptile instead of farming.

Watch out

Fight it from dry land. Wading in after a wounded crocodile puts you in its element, slow and with nowhere to back off. Back up the bank and keep shooting.

Win, and you carry raw crocodile meat home. Like every raw meat it hurts if you eat it as it is; cooked on a barbeque with the rest of the haul, it gives back some health, hunger and thirst. Leave it raw in a box and sooner or later it ends up as spoiled crocodile meat.

Eating it plain is fine, but a stack has a better future at the Cooking Workbench. The crocodile pie gives better night vision for a short time, including tree markings and ore hotspots, which is exactly what a duo farming nodes after dark wants.
