Captain's Log

Read it, then decide whether it deserves a slot. The game calls it a deteriorating piece of paper about the last moments of a vessel, so it belongs to some wreck or abandoned ship rather than to anything you build. The row shows no recipe, no research, no uses and nothing from the recycler.

It is lore, plain and simple. Picture a long night out on the water: you loot a ship's quarters, find the log and learn a little about how its crew ended up. That story is the whole reward, and it does not move your wipe forward by a single craft.

Do not mix it up with documents, another paper item with no clear job, or with a note, which you craft and write yourself. Keep it among your misc items if you collect lore, and drop it if you do not.
