Overview
A fuel soaked arrow, ignite it by aiming.
Mostly you shoot fire arrows to see. At night a burning shaft stuck in the grass lights up the spot where it landed, so you can mark the bush someone is hiding behind or check a dark doorway before you walk into it. Anyone standing in the flames takes damage and slows down, though the fire does nothing to walls or doors.
They go into the same bows as ordinary wooden arrows: the hunting bow is the usual one, and a crossbow works too. The arrow lights itself as you aim, so forget about sitting in a bush with a drawn bow. The flame can give you away.
But don't expect it to win a fight. The arrow itself hits softer than a plain one, the fire is a bonus, and the low grade fuel that goes into each one is often better spent keeping your lanterns lit. Take a handful on a night roam and keep the rest of your arrows plain.
