About this craft

This page prices a find, not a craft. The Prototype upgrade can't be crafted or researched, so its Level 2 line never unlocks. What you hold is two gears, a stack of scrap and two pieces of tech trash, the same tech trash a C4 needs.

So decide before the recycler. The ordinary one returns a gear and a single tech trash, half a C4's worth, and no scrap. Fitted, the upgrade lets its bench unlock any blueprint in the tree without buying the path to it, at double the price and with a one-in-four chance to fail and still take the scrap.

Watch out

Don't fit it on a whim. Wait until the box holds your target at the doubled price, plus a second try.

It suits one wanted blueprint deep in a tree, as its item page says. If the group will clear the whole tree anyway, the Salvage upgrade saves more.
