Flame Turret

200 frags and a gear, but two empty propane tanks set the pace. The craft is the cheap part; the low grade fuel it burns in every fight is not.

About this craft

Two empty propane tanks go into every turret, and they decide how many you build. The calculator counts them as is, since most players pull their first ones from road barrels. The turret's blueprint sits at Level 1 and the tank's at a Level 2 workbench, so once you want fire in more than one corridor, learn the tank instead of waiting on barrels. The gear is slower still: a Level 3 craft, and most of the 120 scrap on the unfolded bill.

Then comes the running cost. The turret burns low grade fuel whenever it fires, so craft a stock from animal fat and cloth before you place it and keep it in the same room. A turret that ran dry in the last attack is just a lump of metal in the next one.

Tanks running short? A shotgun trap holds a door without any, and the two work best side by side.
