Large Water Catcher

Wood and frags are a short farm; the two tarps are loot. A large planter wants the same pair, so the farm layout decides which gets them first.

About this craft

Two tarps are the price that matters, and a large planter box asks for exactly the same two. Tarp cannot be crafted, whatever the unfolded calculator does with its cloth, so each pair comes from road loot or the recycler. Planters with nothing to water them and a catcher with nothing to feed are both wasted tarps: plan the farm as a set before either goes on the bench.

Next to two small water catchers, the large one costs the same tarps, more wood and metal fragments, and a Level 2 workbench. Early on, the small ones go up first; the large one pays once the farm outgrows them.

Tip

This catcher is the better place to park tarps. The ordinary recycler gives one of the two back every time, while a small catcher returns its tarp only half the time.
