The first hour on a fresh wipe decides most of the rest. You start with a rock and a torch, everyone around you is in the same position, and the players who last are the ones who know what to do first. The guides in this section walk you through it.
You will learn what to gather first (wood, stones and cloth), which tools to make from them, how to place a sleeping bag so that dying does not send you back to the beach, and how to put down a first base with a tool cupboard and a door you can lock.
After that come the steps that turn survival into progress: a workbench, a furnace, research, and the first trips to monuments for scrap and components.
