Overview
A Shotgun. Fires a single round before reloading.
This is the gun for the first hours of a wipe, when everyone carries a bow and you want to end a fight in one shot. It takes only wood and metal fragments at a Level 1 workbench, so losing it costs you almost nothing. That is why many players door-camp with it.
Pros
Cons
- Huge close-range hit for what it costs
- Cheap to craft and cheap to lose
- Takes buckshot, slugs and incendiary shells as well as handmade ones
- One shell, then a long reload
- Pellets spread out fast beyond doorway range
- No muzzle attachments, only sights and a light or laser
Many players feed it handmade shells early, then switch to buckshot once a Level 2 bench is up. A slug turns it into a clumsy mid-range option, but you get one try.
Some players carry two in the hotbar and swap instead of reloading. When you can afford it, the double barrel gives you a second shot without the juggling, and the pump ends the one-shot gamble entirely.
