Characteristics
Overview
A pure warming tea that temporarily increases both your core and minimum temperature. Enriched with milk to make the effect last longer.
Snow is a slow enemy, and the milky cup is built for slow enemies. Say you are walling in a base at the edge of the snow on wipe night: an hour of placing, upgrading and running for more wood, always in the cold and never standing still long enough to warm up. The game text gives this tea the same job as a Pure Warming Tea, raising your core and minimum temperature for a while, and three bottles of milk make that last longer.
There are three ways to stay warm out there, and each has a catch:
- A camp fire costs only wood, and ties you to one spot.
- A snow jacket works all the time, and its own text calls it high visibility.
- This tea moves with you, and runs out.
Most people who build in the snow end up using all three. The tea is the one you reach for when the work keeps you on the move.
Why not the creamy cup? It is stronger, but it ends sooner, which suits a quick swim at night. Over an hour of building it would have you drinking again halfway through.
