Cooked Mutton

Of all the cooked meats, this one points most clearly at the farm rather than the hunt. Mutton comes from sheep, and the game texts around it talk about livestock: animals that graze, eat from a hitch and trough when grass runs short, and can turn on you. How sheep show up on your server is worth checking before you count on a steady supply.

As food it is ordinary. Cook raw mutton on any fire and you get some health, hunger and thirst back, the same deal the other steaks offer. Raw it hurts you, and left too long in a box it turns into spoiled mutton.

So the interesting part is the pie. The shepherds pie is made from mutton, and for a short time livestock grow used to you twice as fast and are far less likely to turn on you. If your group is building up a herd, that is where the mutton should go, not straight into your mouth.
