Overview
Wood insert for crafted clothes and armor, provides some extra protection from bullets and melee.
Use it to squeeze a little more out of your armour in the stretch between your first bench and your second. By its own description it adds some protection from bullets and melee to crafted clothes and armour, and those two are what kill you most in the first days of a wipe.
The material is nothing: 150 wood, a minute of farming. The blueprint is the price. Research costs 60 scrap, as much as the lead and asbestos inserts ask at a Level 2 workbench, and on day one that is a lot of barrels. So most small groups research it after the Level 1 workbench and the base itself are sorted.
