Frog Boots

A thank-you to everyone who played Rust in early access. One tarp and no workbench make a pair, but only players who own them on Steam see the recipe.

Overview

In-game description
Thank you for playing the game through its early access run. Enjoy these boots made from radiation resistant frog rubber.

Only players who own the boots on Steam get to craft these, since their blueprint is tied to owning the item. The game text thanks early access players for sticking around and calls the boots radiation resistant frog rubber, while the row asks for a single tarp, with no workbench and no research.

That tarp is the catch. Its own page lists a hundred cloth at a Level 2 workbench, yet nobody can craft tarp: it only comes from loot and recycling, so on day one these cost more than they look. Whether the rubber really keeps radiation off you, the rows do not say, so do not walk into a hot zone on the description alone.

Wear them for the look and as the badge of an old account. For a fight, ordinary boots are the safer pick. Recycling a pair gives the tarp back only on a lucky roll. And a pair you strip from a dead veteran fits anyone's feet.

Recycler

At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
