Overview
Raw Bear Meat. Eating it will damage your health, try cooking it first.
One bear, and your inventory suddenly has a meat problem. You drop it with a bow, strip it with a combat knife, and the raw meat takes more slots than you planned for, next to the fat and the hide. Eaten as it is, it damages your health, so none of it helps until something cooks it.
The split happens on the walk home. Most groups make the same three piles, and the order matters more than the cooking.
- What the team eats tonight goes on the barbeque, or into a furnace if the grill is busy. Pull it out as soon as it turns into cooked bear meat.
- The rest goes straight into a fridge. In a wooden box it slowly turns into spoiled bear meat, which only hurts you.
- Hold a share back for the Cooking Workbench, where the bear pie turns it into a buff for the next hunt.
Do not try to cook the whole bear on one camp fire where it fell. It takes ages, the fire can be seen from far off, and the bear fight was loud enough already.
