Two scooters for a duo means two pieces of tech trash, exactly what one C4 needs. Tech trash can't be crafted or researched. The unfolded calculator prices it in scrap and high quality metal at Level 3, but no bench of yours turns those back into it. So before a dive season, the question is how much raiding your group will trade for it.
The rest is easy. The metal fragments come from one furnace run, the bench is the Level 2 workbench and the blueprint costs little scrap. Check the rest of the kit first, though: the diving tank can't be crafted either, so scooters without looted tanks just sit in a box.
Watch out
Don't recycle a spare scooter for its tech trash. The ordinary recycler gives it back only half the time, along with half the frags.
