About this craft
Day one with a single tarp in your bag is exactly what this box is for. Every player knows the recipe from the start, it takes no bench, and the wood is a handful of trees, so the first hemp seeds can go into the ground before the walls are finished.
Past the first box, though, look at the large planter's recipe. Small boxes give the fewest seeds per tarp of all the planters, and on a farm built from them you pay for that in tarps you will not find again soon. Scrap is short early, but the large box's blueprint is cheap enough to learn before the second tarp turns up.
The unfolded calculator lists cloth instead of the tarp and adds a Level 2 bench. Ignore both: nobody crafts tarps.
Tip
Put small boxes where they can stay for the whole wipe: a balcony, a strip by the furnaces. Recycled, a small box gives its tarp back only on a lucky roll.
