Overview
Medium quality spark plugs for a combustion engine. Spark plugs ignite the fuel/air mixture to move the pistons.
The day your Level 2 workbench goes up, two things open at once. You can build a car from scratch, since the cockpit with engine and the engine module are both Level 2 crafts, and you can fill its engine with medium parts instead of settling for low ones.
Plugs are the spark in that engine: they light the fuel and air so the pistons have something to push. Each medium plug costs 70 metal fragments and brings 100 durability, against 60 for the low tier. An engine takes several plugs, so farm the frags before you sit down at the bench.
Build the rest of the engine to match. Medium plugs next to medium valves and medium pistons give you an even set, and when the parts start to wear you replace them tier by tier instead of hunting for the one part that let you down.
Tip
A medium plug in your loot before you have the blueprint is worth researching. It costs 15 scrap, the same as the low and high ones, and after that you never wait on drops again.
