Overview
A hunters pie enriched with cream, made with real deer. Provides a boost to hunger, health and hydration. Stops bleeding for a short time.
One word separates it from the plain hunters pie. That one reduces bleeding for a short time; this one, enriched with cream, stops it for a short time. Hunger, health and hydration get the same boost either way, and the timer is short in both texts.
So everything hangs on whether you will have time to patch up. Bleeding is cheap to fix when you can stop: a bandage costs only cloth. The rich pie earns its cream in a fight where stopping gets you killed. Say you track a bear through the forest with a bow, half a quiver left, and it closes the gap. Every swipe that lands would normally leave you bleeding while you back off and keep shooting. With the pie in you, the drain never starts, and the only damage left is the hit itself.
Watch out
Stopping bleeding is not healing. The pie does nothing about the health a hit already took, so carry meds for that part.
Deer goes into it, by its text, so the same hunting trip that brings home raw deer meat feeds the Cooking Workbench. Bake a few for planned fights and keep the plain one for everything else.
