So it is just a cosmetic, and an honest one. Fresh off the beach with a rock and a torch, you can put it on before the walk to Outpost and look a little more cheerful than the next naked. It will not help in a fight, and despite the ears it will not find eggs.

For the egg hunt itself you want Bunny Ears, whose description does promise extra Egg Vision. They cannot be crafted at all, so grab a pair when one turns up. If you want the full look, pair the hat with the inflatable bunny costume. Other hats and costumes sit under Attire.
