The fuse the game text ties to restoring the Power Plant. Loot only, like a normal fuse, but it lasts far longer, so save it for that job.

Overview

In-game description
Lasts longer than a regular fuse and is compatible with and able to restore a Power Plant. Will have to be replaced after a period of time.

Bring it to the Power Plant. The game text names restoring that monument as this fuse's job, and that is where it should go. For an ordinary card room, a regular electric fuse does the work, and ten of those fit in the slot that holds three of these.

On paper the two are twins. Both rows list 50 scrap at a Level 3 workbench, but the game files say neither fuse can be crafted or researched, and a recycler gives the same back for either. The gap is durability: 1000 against 200. A fuse drains while it sits in a box, so the heavy one keeps power on far longer before somebody has to come back and swap it.

Here is how it usually goes wrong. Your group heads to the Power Plant, one person carries the cards, and the fuses everyone grabbed are the cheap ones. Sort them before you leave: heavy fuses in the bag for that trip, regular ones for the train yard and water treatment rooms.

Unlike most components, nothing on the site is crafted from it. What the restoration gives you and how long a heavy fuse holds out there can change with updates, so look at it on your server before you build a plan around it.

Recycling

Recycler

At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
