A set of repurposed PVC pipes that can be used to play a variety of melodies.

Your duo partner already owns an acoustic guitar, and you want in on the evening jam without fighting over one instrument. Grab the flute. It carries the melody over the chords, and the two of you sound far better together than one guitar alone at the furnace line.

The price is a joke: 5 cloth and 20 metal fragments, no workbench, nothing to research. That puts it next to the Canbourine at the bottom of the music price list. And unlike the guitar, which has to be researched first, it sits in every player's crafting menu from day one.

It gives no buff of any kind. Play it indoors, or at least behind a wall, because a melody out in the open tells every roamer nearby where you stand.
