Overview
A selection of crumpled cans assembled into a ring to produce some great background percussion.
Every group has one teammate who cannot play a note. Hand them this. Late at night, with the furnaces full and nobody keen to go outside, a shaker keeping time behind an acoustic guitar turns a dull smelting shift into a jam on voice chat.
It asks next to nothing: 25 metal fragments, no workbench and no research. Every player can craft it from the first minute of a wipe, so nobody has to wait on a BP to join the jam. The acoustic guitar it backs up has to be researched first, so early in a wipe the canbourine is often the only instrument your group can make.
It has no effect beyond the noise. For a louder rhythm part the cowbell cuts through better, and the rest of the music gear sits in the Fun list.

Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
