Overview

In-game description
A clipping of a sunflower plant.

Copy one sunflower when you want several that look alike. Seeds from wild flowers each come up with their own genes, so a bed planted from them grows unevenly: one plant shoots up early, its neighbour lags, another wilts. Clones of a single parent carry its genes and keep pace with each other.

On a food crop that evenness is about the harvest. Here it is only about looks, so be honest with yourself about the effort. If a random mix of sunflower seeds is fine by you, skip the clone step altogether, since the seeds cost nothing.

Where it pays off: your group has a long compound wall, or a walkway up to the main door, and someone wants it lined with flowers. Set a row of small planter boxes along it, three clones in each, all from the one plant you liked. They grow up together, bloom at roughly the same time, and the row reads as planted on purpose.

Leave them standing. Once picked, each turns into a sunflower in your bag, and that item is good for very little.
