Traps

Snap Trap

50 frags and one gear at a Level 1 bench. The trap comes back to your pocket after it fires, so a few cover a base and the gears stay for doors.

About this craft

Craft a few and move them around. A snap trap can be picked up once it has fired, so a pair you keep resetting does more than a stack waiting in a box. That matters because of the gear. Its own craft needs a Level 3 workbench and 100 scrap, so early on every gear is loot, and each one in a trap is one an armored door or a ladder hatch did not get.

The blueprint is a cheap Level 1 pick. The recycler gives the gear back only some of the time, so count it as spent.

If gears run out first, a homemade landmine needs none, though it eats sulfur and is gone once it blows.
