About this craft

The closer on your door was looted, not crafted. The game gives players no blueprint for it, so the recipe on this page never runs; it only prices what you hold. And what you hold is mostly a metal spring, the part a rifle craft runs out of first, plus a handful of metal fragments.

That makes the recycler a coin toss. The ordinary one gives back half the fragments and the spring only half the time, so breaking a closer down for its spring trades a working closer for a fifty-fifty shot at one part. Fit it to the busiest door instead.

The exception is the night an assault rifle craft is one spring short and nothing else in the box holds one. Then the gamble can be worth it. A spare closer with no door left to fit is the other case.
