Instant Camera

75 metal fragments and one gear, no bench. The fragments take an afternoon; the gear is the real price, since crafting one waits on a Level 3 bench.

About this craft

The default view counts the gear as is, and for good reason. Unfold it and the highest bench jumps to Level 3, with 100 scrap per gear landing on the bill. Nearly every camera on a server is built around a gear someone found in a barrel or a crate, not one they crafted.

That gear has better jobs waiting. An armored door wants several, so the camera belongs to the evening when the base is finished and the box holds spare gears. The metal fragments are the easy part of the bill.

Watch out

Don't craft one just to recycle it later. The recycler returns the gear only half the time, so a camera that sits unused turns your gear into a coin flip.
