Water Wheel

Wood leads the tile, but wood is never the problem. One looted sheet of metal and a pair of gears decide whether the river by your base makes power.

About this craft

Don't let the main resource fool you. Wood is the biggest number on the page and the smallest worry, since a river base has trees on every side. The two lines counted as is carry this craft. Sheet metal can't be crafted at any bench, and gears only become a craft at Level 3, while the wheel itself sits at Level 1. For most of a wipe, both are loot.

That sheet has another buyer: every craft of high external stone walls takes one. With a single sheet in the box, decide what matters more this week, the wall around the farm or the power behind it.

The blueprint costs twice the scrap the small generator asks, and it earns that back. Same gears, no fuel run ever, no tech trash anywhere in the bill. Off the river, though, skip it and spend the gears elsewhere.
