Accelerated Workbench Upgrade

Makes a long crafting queue speed up as it goes, so it pays off on big batches of ammo and meds. A single craft gains next to nothing from it.

Overview

In-game description
Crafting speed increases by 25% for each item already completed in the same batch.

Big queues are what it is for. The game text says crafting speed rises by 25% for every item already finished in the same batch, so the first round of a long queue takes its normal time and each one after it comes out quicker than the last. Craft one door and you will never notice. Queue a few hundred bullets and you will.

Picture a group the evening before a raid. One player stands at the bench and crafts ammo, syringes and arrows for five people while the others farm sulfur. On a bench with this upgrade the queue clears far sooner, and he is back on the roads before the rest come home. A solo who crafts a handful of things at a time gains much less.

Do not plan on crafting one. The row lists five gears and 100 scrap at a Level 1 workbench, but the game files say the upgrade cannot be crafted or researched at all, so it comes from loot or a trade. That makes a spare one worth fitting rather than recycling, which hands back only some of the gears.

The Efficiency upgrade rewards batch crafting too, but instead of saving time it now and then drops a free extra item.

Recycling

Recycler

At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
