Overview
A poorly made sight, slightly better than iron sights.
Iron sights on some early guns block half the target, and this fixes that for almost nothing. A few high quality metal on a Level 1 workbench gets you a clearer sight picture on day one, long before anyone in your group has a Level 2 bench.
Tip
Craft it the moment you have a few HQM. There is nothing to research, every player has it from the start, and the first stack of HQM you smelt covers several copies.
The gun it suits best is the semi-automatic rifle. Single taps at mid range are exactly where iron sights let you down, and many players mount this before any other attachment. The waterpipe shotgun takes one too.
Just do not expect much. The game itself calls it poorly made and only slightly better than iron sights. Once Tech Trash starts turning up, a holosight beats it in every fight, and the handmade sight goes into the recycler or onto the spare gun your farmer carries.

Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
