Overview
A stake adorned with special properties making it able to release the soul of undead creatures with a single strike, as well as yield extra loot from their remains.
Its only real job is the undead. According to the game's own text, one strike from the stake releases an undead creature, and their remains give extra loot when you use it. That matters only while a Halloween event puts those creatures on the map. The rest of the year you are holding a pointed piece of wood.
It cannot be crafted or researched at all, so nobody plans a wipe around it. If one lands in your inventory during the event, keep it in the hotbar beside a real weapon. Say you are out at night and something undead shambles toward you: swap to the stake for the single hit, then straight back.
For anything alive, a wooden spear or one of the other picks on the weapons list does the job better.
Recycling
At power grid stage 2 a green recycler works at 60% instead of 50%. Yields depend on the recycler.
