Overview
A pure harvesting tea, provides hydration and temporarily increases the amount of resources you receive from harvesting corpses a large amount. Enriched with cream for a stronger, shorter lived effect.

A Pure Harvesting Tea already raises what you get from harvesting corpses by a large amount, and three cream make the effect stronger and shorter lived, per the game text.
So the rule is simple. Kill first, drink second, then skin everything without walking anywhere. Do it with a combat knife, which its own text calls best in class at harvesting flesh. A stronger bonus on a rock still leaves you with a rock's yield.
Watch out
A rich bear pie greatly increases the effect of harvesting teas and also cuts their duration. Stacked on top of cream, that leaves a very short window. Eat both only when every body is a few steps away, or the best part of the buff ends while you are still walking.
A hunt that spreads out over the map, one deer here and a boar much later, wants the milky cup instead. Cream is for the moment the kills come in a heap.
