Candy Cane

Read it as a joke from the developers, not as a meal. The whole game text is a line about a very old candy cane from 2014, and it says nothing about hunger, thirst or health. When you need food, nearly anything else in the food list is a better use of the space.

And it does take space. Each cane stacks to one, so five of them fill five slots on a December roam. They turn up around the Christmas event, the same season people open a small present or hang a small stocking by the fire, so do not expect one in a road barrel in July.

Do not mix it up with the decorative plastic candy canes. Those are cheap wooden ornaments for the tree, crafted rather than found, and nobody eats them.
