About this craft

Stones take an evening of farming. What keeps this gate waiting is the five gears. Their own blueprint sits at a Level 3 bench, and unfolded, the calculator puts 500 scrap on them, far more than the gate's own research. So for most of a wipe every gear in it comes from a crate, a road barrel or the recycler.

Learn the stone high wall first, since the ring matters more than the door in it. Leave one opening, close it with whatever you have for now, and keep a separate box for the gears from every road run. A wooden gate needs fewer gears and only a Level 1 bench, but in a stone ring it is the first spot a raider checks.
